Dog Behaviour and Training

Australia's longest-running and most popular Dog Training and Behaviour Course is now available through Distance Learning.

The Certificate III level program in dog training and behaviour is the only nationally recognised, government accredited Dog Trainer Certification Course available in Australia.  It is recognised through the Australian Qualifications Framework and the Federal Government Department of Education Science and Training.

The NDTF course goes far beyond teaching a dog to sit and recall.  It offers students a comprehensive education in a variety of  subjects such as animal psychology and behaviour, the history and development of dogs, investigation and treatment of behaviour problems, canine health care, temperament assessments and behaviour profiling.

During the course students will experience extensive practical training in a ‘hands-on’ learning environment. The NDTF offers exposure to a range of different training techniques in fields such as obedience, socialisation and agility. In addition the opportunity of handling dogs of all breeds, ages and temperaments, makes the course the most complete canine education program available in Australia.
